His most recent projects include a horror mini series directed by Joe Dante “Splatter”, “Nature’s Greatest Defender” (National Geographic) narrated by Glen Close, “The Response” starring Kate Mulgrew, Peter Reigert and Sig Libowitz which was selected by the Academy as one of the 10 semi-finalists for the 2010 Oscar for Best Short Film (Live Action), several (History Channel) documentaries, commercials for Mercedes and Comcast, a CGI film for AMD / ATI Radeon, an animation for Joe Dante / Elizabeth Stanley, and conducting his music on the Fox Studios scoring stage.
He has also been working closely with composer Heitor Pereira on projects such as A Little Bit of Heaven (Kate Hudson), Merry Madagascar, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Curious George 2, etc.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Aaron Symonds grew up in Australia where he studied composition, orchestration, conducting and numerous instruments from an early age. As a teenager he began working on films, TV series and theatre productions for some of Australia’s flagship theatre companies. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and son, his state-of-the-art film scoring studio and his conducting baton.
